Like father like daughter!

Madison has followed in her dad's footsteps and he couldn't be more proud!
Here is madi leading off in her first softball game.
She made contact, but just a little foul, look at the catcher trying to find where the ball went.
She has played multiple positions, and always does it with a smile! We are so proud of her and her athletic abilities. Keep up the good work Daisymae!!!

Our little sunshine!!

How cute is she?? Our Ryan is 8 months now and is quite a handfull, the only place that keeps her in one spot is her bouncer. This is a real lifesaver and one of her favorite places to be.
Ryan being Ryan and always smiling :)
Good looks seem to run in the family!!! One word comes to me: BEAUTIFUL

TAKE ME OUT THE THE BALLGAME!!!

Doug Glanville (a former Cub player) had the honor to sing take me out to the ball game. Wrigley field is the only place that we are aware of that still has a guest sing the song. Most ballparks just play a recording of it. We have watched this many times on TV, but now can say that it is way better in person. Enjoy as if you were there!!!

MORE CHICAGO PICS!!

Sahra calling home and checking on Ryan!! Doesn't she know where we are?? This is heaven we don't need phones here!!

Casey's dream job!!
After a 2nd straight win the CUBS sent the METS out of town without a win!!

HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!

After a 15 min. ride on the red-line and stepping off at Addison we reached my 2nd happiest place on earth (the 1st is at home with Sahra and our girls.) I still couldn't believe we were here, it took me 30 years and 6 days to get here. It was well worth the wait!
Since we arrived before the gates to Wrigley opened we walked around the friendly confines and took photos of this historical site. This is one of many photos we took, we then ate at the famous Harry Caray's tavern located on Sheffield and Addison.
The suspense was killing me, once inside I must have looked like a child on xmas morning. I don't think there was one minute I wasn't smiling. What a breath taking moment, and one that I will never forget. My wife is the greatest!!
We were honored to be at Wrigley to see Derek Lee receive his Gold Glove for his outstanding defense he played during the '07 season. This wasn't our first brush with Lee while there. The next day we were walking through concessions and Derek walked right by us. All I can say is watching him on TV does not do him justice. This guy was huge!! I barely came up to his elbow and before we could grab our camera he was gone:( Still pretty cool to see him up close in person!
Did I mention that my wife was the GREATEST!! This was right before she got another BP ball from one of the METS players. He must have been caught by her good looks, wouldn't you??

Site seeing in Chi-town

We took this pic while riding a huge ferris wheel. A view of the Sears tower, since we've been to the top of the empire state building we decided not to go to the top of on this trip. Maybe next time!!
Since Sahra is scared of heights this SLOW moving ride wasn't here favorite part of our trip, but the trooper that she is it was all done while SMILING:)
Another attraction we visited was Chicago's Navy Pier!! This is where we found the monster ferris wheel.
The first Wrigley site we saw was this building, not the popular Wrigley field but still a big part of the Windy City.

With time to kill before heading to Wrigley to watch the ESPN Monday night game between my CUBS and METS we decided to see some other sights around the city. The first place we stopped was Millenium Park where we found the Cloud Gate (stainless steel bean) this thing was huge 12 stories and 110 tons. After trying to figure out why it was there we left with no real answer, and probably never will!

HAPPY B-DAY CASEY!!!

What would you do? It was around 4:30 AM on Sunday April 20th when I heard "Casey! Casey! wake up!" Confused and with a dumb founded look on my face I said WHAT?? My lovely wife went on to say you need to get up we're going to CHICAGO! Still half asleep I just replied with "Sahra this is not something to joke about!" She said I'm dead serious, your bags are packed and in the car and your dad is waiting to take us to the airport. Needless to say it didn't take me long to wake up and get ready for a GREAT belated bday present.
