Kepping The Tradition Alive

The Ludwig Family Tradition is that Christmas Gifts are opened on Christmas Eve, which also falls under German Tradition since both my Mother and Father are German. We would start the festivities around 6p.m., we would have some snacks, get the "GOODIES" we would be taking to about 20 neighbors in our neighborhood. In exchange for the "goodies" they would have to listen to about 25 of us sing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas."

We as the Hiss Family did not go caroling to our nghbors, I'm still trying to talk Casey into that one. However, we did read the Christmas Story in Luke and shared with each other our most memoriable Christmas(s). Then came the opening of teihe Gifts. We opened all the gifts that we had for each other. Madi and Ryan still had to go to bed that night wondering what Santa was going to leave them....a piece of coal or a toy!
